Arkansas State Finals - - by Shawn McMillan, Grade 9

It was the Arkansas football state finals for football. It was the Ravens vs. The Warriors. Tyler B. was the running back for the Ravens. And Bill T. was the running back for the Warriors. They hated each other and both craved the state final championship trophy. They hated each other because two years ago they were both in the Ravens then Bill left because he thought the team sucked, and so he went and joined the Warriors who are the Ravens rivals
The first half was relatively quiet The Ravens had 21, and the Warriors had 14. On the first play of the second half Bill made a 50 yard touchdown. The Warrior fans cheered as the Ravens fans hissed and booed. It was now tied. Nothing happened for the next 45 minutes. The Ravens were on their own 20 yard line and it was third down. Tyler feels as if he has been punched in the stomach by a giant, and wants to blow chunks all over the Warriors. The quarterback tells Tyler hat he is running. That just adds to his distress.
So the play begins. The quarterback hands him the ball and he finds a hole right up the middle. He sheds one tackler and jumps over another! He feels super human. Nobody could stop him now. He picked up his pace and you could see the dirt flying up from under his cleats. And he made the 80 yard touchdown! The fans erupted in glee, and whole team pilled onto he field. And Tyler got the game winning ball, and got to have the mayor hand him to trophy. After the game Bill game up and said good game and shook his hand. They were friends for the rest of their lives.
